Jamie Booth – PDINZ

Jamie, co-owner of Formworks, transitioned from a senior designer to co-owner in 2011, leveraging over two decades of professional expertise. After graduating with honours in Industrial Design from Massey University Wellington School of Design in 2000, Jamie’s journey began with a customer-focused research project for Tait Radio Communication during university. This venture led to Jamie assuming the role of Tait’s in-house industrial designer post-graduation, shaping their mobile, portable, and base station product ranges. In 2004, Jamie joined Formworks, progressing to a senior designer position before assuming co-ownership. His diverse portfolio spans across airline seating, passenger bagdrop units, motor-homes, consumer electronics, food packaging, medical, industrial, and point-of-sale products. Jamie’s involvement extends throughout every project phase, from scoping and research to concepting, testing, development, and delivery. As a professional member of the Designers Institute of New Zealand (PDINZ), Jamie balances his professional commitments with personal interests, cherishing family time, and reigniting his passion for portrait painting.
