Cadbury NZ engaged the team at Formworks to help them design a refrigerated confectionery display with a design aesthetic that fitted the Cadbury image and would attract customers to the chilled confectionery.

This would ultimately lift confectionery sales, especially in warmer months where there is traditionally a decline in confectionery sales when consumers opt for cooler impulse products.

A key requirement established early in the design process was any simple barrier between the product and customer reduces sales, therefore the chiller needed to be lid-less. Through the use of Twin Sheet pressure forming for the major panels in the unit, accompanied with foam filling the unit was extremely well insulated.
